Tatoo
In
recorded history tattoo's can be traced back to the invading Danes,
Norseman and Saxons who brought the custom of cultured and artistic
tattoos to Britain prior to 787. In fact, tattooing still survives among
some aristocratic families, particularly in Scotland and the art form
survived until the Norman invasion of Britain in 1066. Historically
tattoos have not only been used as identification ...but... as an art
form.
As an example, when the body of King Harold (an Anglo-Saxon) was recovered
from the battlefield, he was identified by the name of his wife which
was tattooed on his chest; much the same way contemporary people tattoo
the names of their loved ones on their bodies.
While it isn't new, it has reached new heights of sophistication and
acceptance. The more contemporary designs and detail are truly breathtaking
in their application and illustrations. There are even records of some
people being so involved with tattoos that they have literally, illustrated
their entire bodies.
It has progressed from a forbidden practice to a true art form and there
is no more adept group of artists than today's generation of tattoo
seekers. If you have a tattoo in your future, perhaps you should discuss
this with one of the artists at Celebrity Tattoo. Celebrity not only
has the reputation as a quality house, but its owner (Zeke Pusateri)
is a very active participant in fund raising for various charities.
