Rancho, built in 1948, located 18 miles west of Denver is a tradition
in Colorado Mountain Dining.
I shall never forget the first time I saw El Rancho in January of 1970, being fresh from Texas, I thought it was the most beautiful, typically mountain place I had ever seen, and I still love it. The views are unsurpassed. El Rancho has been a beacon to hungry travelers for nearly 60 years now. There have been many changes to the area and additions to the restaurant. However the charm and pure ?Old Colorado? atmosphere remains. The owners Mark and Susan McKenna and Bill Troyanos have successfully maintained the historic ambiance.
One of the many unique features is the complete Southwest gift shop next to the front entrance. A tavern with big screen TV?s and the Colorado Deck, for outdoor dining add to the charm. Banquet Facilities on the garden level offer the perfect place for meetings, weddings or other special occasions for up to 250 guests.
The menu at El Rancho is extensive. You may enjoy a choice of beef, seafood, buffalo, chicken, duck, pork or mexican entries. The Sunday Brunch is one of my favorites. A Breakfast Buffet is served from 9:-11:am, then a full Brunch Buffet from 11:am - 2:pm. A very large, well prepared and beautifully presented buffet is offered.
For a unique Colorado Experience, El Rancho is a must visit. Lunch is served Mon-Fri from 11:am - 3:pm, Sat. from 10:30am - 3:30pm. Dinner, Mon.-Thu & Sun 5:-9:00pm, Fri. & Sat. 5:pm - 10:pm
The Tavern is open Mon.-Sat. 11:am -11:pm, Sun. 9:am - 11:pm. Enjoy!!
