April 2 Annual Tom's Terrific Cross Country Downhill. This five-kilometer "mostly downhill" fun race benefits junior skiers in the Competition Center. April 16 Imperial Challenge a grueling 3-stage race that includes biking, hiking to the top of Imperial Bowl in Breckenridge and decending to the base of Peak 8 on the athlete’s choice of equipment, 970-453-0333.

April 17 Coca Cola Spring Splash, begins at 12:00 pm. Competitors in both the ski and snowboard divisions start the course by coming out of the gate backwards, struggl! ing through a hilarious obstacle course. From there, participants must navigate their way through the "bamboo jungle," the hay bale obstacle, the "oh no" zone, and across or into a pond of icy water that marks the finish line. Live music from 2:30-6:p.m. on the decks of the Derailer Bar enhances the festive atmosphere. All this action marks closing day at Winter Park Resort. Cash prizes totaling $3,000 will be awarded to top finishers in each of the four divisions for women, men, skiers, and snowboarders.
