May of 2001, Dorothy and William Sr. Harmsen, founders of the Jolly
Rancher Candy Company and long-time residents of Colorado, donated their
prestigious Harmsen Western Art Collection to the Denver Art Museum.
A Colorado Legacy celebrates this generous gift by showcasing more than
25 of the most significant paintings and American Indian art objects
from the collection. The Harmsens' immense collection of Western and
American Indian art was amassed over a 40 year period of collecting
and includes work by artists including George Catlin, Charles Bird King,

March 2 - May 26 The Denver Art Museum presents Art & Home: Dutch
Interiors in the Age of Rembrandt. Return to the Dutch Golden Age of
the 1600s, exhibits pair 70 domestic objects with 50 paintings.
The exhibit is the most complex ever assembled at the museum and draws
