Colorado Vignette - Buffalo Bill Birthday Celebration

Buffalo Bill Birthday Celebration
Noon - 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2008. Celebrate the birthday of one of America’s greatest legends, William “Buffalo Bill” Cody. In the grand tradition of parties, the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave will host the annual Buffalo Bill Birthday Celebration on Sunday, February 24 from noon to 3 p.m. Sing Happy Birthday, eat cake, play games and maybe even learn a thing or two on this very festive FREE day.

Join the Museum staff at Noon for a ceremonial cutting of the cake by a photogenic collection of Buffalo Bill look-a-likes. Then wander through the Museum exhibits, visiting with costumed volunteers as they discuss the Native Americans, buffalo and cowboys that were such a vital part of Buffalo Bill’s life. At 1:30 p.m. the action moves back outside for the annual Buffalo-Chip Tossing Contest. Prizes will be awarded in both an adult and child’s category.
