Featured Restaurant - The Broker & The Cork House It all began in 1972, when Ed Novak started a tradition of excellence that approaches an art form. From the moment you arrive you sense the difference, the attention to details, the personal touch and caring of a well educated staff. Making your experience with the Broker very special. The Broker Restaurant is located in the historic Denver National Bank Building. The 8 story building was build in 1903 by the Ideal Cement Co. and was the first concrete skyscraper west of the Mississippi. The famous safe company, Diebold, built the vault which serves as the foundation of the building. The door to the vault was one of the last round vault doors built. It weighs 23 tons and is made of alternating layers of stainless steel and copper. You may dine in the vault in the original stalls used for privacy for bank customers to examine the contents of their safety deposit boxes. The Broker is open for lunch Mon. - Fri., Dinner nightly until 11:pm 303-292-5065 Ed Novak has now opened a new venue. The Cork House at 4900 E. Colfax Ave. (formerly Tante’ Louise).
